ENDED…Review & Giveaway – Fun & Stylish Girls Clothing by Matlida Jane

My twin girls love that they look alike but don’t like to dress alike. They are however very girly and love to wear dresses, every chance they get. I can tell that their personalities change once they go from wearing jeans and shirts to dresses and skirts…they become very happy, feminine and very comfortable. I have been browsing through the Matilda Jane Clothing website for several months now and just love the sweet colors and fun patterns of their girls clothing line. This was exactly what the founder and chief designer, Denise DeMarchis, had envisioned when she created her clothing line for girls and I will admit that she got it right! What I also love about Matilda Jane Clothing, is that the company has a strong focus on random acts of kindness by giving back to children’s charities and also involving their customers in charitable giving efforts.

Despite MJC’s strong online presence – more than 40,000 Facebook fans, a thriving blog, and a website that attracts more than 70,000 unique visitors monthly, the company has bucked the trend and chosen not to have an e-commerce store.  MJC sales are made directly though a Trunk Keeper, a representative who gets to know her customers personally.  The exclusive sale of clothing by Trunk Keepers is a wonderful direct selling model through which Denise is able to pay forward business opportunities for entrepreneurial women driven by creativity and relationship building.

My girls were so giddy when they each picked a dress from the Matilda Jane Dress Collections. My daughter on the left (above) fell in love with the Days of Summer Dress which features blue, red and white colors that are done up in a floral print. The dress also features adjustable shoulder straps and has grey lace type trim along the front and bottom of the dress. I just love the 5 bright green buttons that run vertically down the front of the top. My daughters favorite part of the dress is the back band, which, reminds her of watermelons because it is red in color with black polka dots. The skirt of the dress falls just below her knee and she thinks it is very pretty and comfortable.

My other daughter picked the Ruby Ellie Dress. This dress features a mix of different patterns and colors that is all wrapped into one and that makes this dress super fun and vibrant! There are pretty colors of orange, pink, green, blue, brown and yellow. What I love about this dress is that the straps are super long and the top has slits that you can “string” the straps through to create different looks. The top was pretty big on my daughter, but, after we slid the straps through and pulled to tie them into a bow, it also adjusted the top to fit her perfectly. The skirt part of the dress has tiers that are very feminine and my daughter likes twirling in it.
