Easter is coming next weekend and my kids are excited as ever! They can’t wait to decorate Easter eggs and get loads of Easter candy in their Easter baskets. My kids like having a variety of chocolate and fruit flavored Easter candy sweets. Hershey’s really goes all out with their Easter candy selection which is conveniently located down the Easter aisle at your local retail stores. You can find chocolate covered Easter bunnies, fruit flavored candy in the shapes of rabbits and even chocolate eggs.
What really sparked my interest was the Reeses chocolate covered Easter bunny. This 5 oz bunny is made out of milk chocolate and peanut butter, just like the Reeses candy. As a kid, I have always loved Rolo candy, which is chewy caramels that are covered in milk chocolate. You can also find bags of Rolo that are all dressed up in pastel covered candy wrappers. Another classic are the Cadbury Chocolate Creme Egg. These 1.2 oz palm sized eggs have a chocolate covered outside with a chocolate creamy inside that are just too good for words. I always get excited for Easter, when these little Cadbury eggs start appearing on store shelves.
Some new treats that I hadn’t tried yet are the Drops and Jolly Rancher Sours. The Drops are little milk chocolate covered discs without the candy shell. Each Drops chocolate disc has a fun Easter design adorned on the front and are super creamy and delicious. My kids are crazy about the Jolly Rancher Sours. These chewy fruit flavored candies come in a variety of flavors: Orange, Cherry, Apple and Watermelon. They are chewy, sweet and come in fun bunny shapes.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
